Kaspersky unveils 2026 roadmap for its global Kids Cyber Resilience Project

20 April 2026

Kaspersky reveals its 2026 plans for the global Kids Cyber Resilience Project, marking a new wave of educational activities that will roll out across the Asia-Pacific and EMEA regions. The company will hold interactive workshops and webinars to empower teachers and parents with knowledge on how to make kids resilient to threats they might encounter online and help the latter develop skills needed to navigate their digital journey easily and safely.

Fostering a culture of digital security is one of Kaspersky’s principal focuses. Through its Kids Cyber Resilience Project, Kaspersky has been equipping teaching staff and parents with practical knowledge on how to enhance kids’ online security and ensure a worry-free digital experience. Since the initiative’s launch in 2023, more than 1,500 participants joined Kaspersky-organized educational sessions across the globe.

In 2026, the project will continue its global expansion with a series of activities planned in several regions. Participants will explore essential digital safety skills, from recognizing phishing scams and avoiding malicious websites to securing their social media accounts and developing safer habits around gaming and content-sharing. Special modules of the program are dedicated to cyberbullying prevention and managing digital privacy along with guidance to help young people cope with and recover from negative online experiences.  The list of upcoming initiatives includes the following events:

·       In Russia, a webinar for primary and middle-school educators is planned for April 25. The webinar will be held in partnership with a local charitable foundation. As Kaspersky findings show that children in the region spend about four hours online daily, that ultimately raises concerns over digital risks among kids, the session will help teachers recognize common online threats and support pupils who encounter them.

·       In September, the project will return to the Asia-Pacific region, where it has already established broad networks in Singapore, India, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam and Hong Kong. This year, the project will debut in Thailand with a workshop for teachers and educators focused on online safety, data protection, privacy risks on social media and misinformation.

·       Additionally, by the end of the year, Kaspersky intends to launch its Kids Cyber Resilience Project in the Middle East, a region that pays special attention to cybersecurity education. With the upcoming activities, Kaspersky will continue its flagship effort to strengthen the next generation’s cyber resilience by engaging local schools and communities.

Alongside the upcoming events, three publications are slated for release this year: two teaching guides for educators available in multiple languages and a research study examining how parents manage and protect their children’s privacy.

“Building a cyber-resilient generation requires collaborative efforts of teachers, parents, schools, as well as charitable and educational organizations and business. When we act together, we create the sustainable foundation for a cyber resilient generation and that shared commitment ultimately strengthens global security. We aim for this project to be replicable and sustainable to establish a broader global outreach,” comments Evgeniya Russkikh, Head of Academic Affairs at Kaspersky.

In 2025, the Kids Cyber Resilience Project successfully ran across multiple regions, delivering a series of impactful initiatives for students, families and educators in collaboration with local NGOs and educational institutions. Nearly 500 participants from Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Egypt took part in interactive activities on data security, digital privacy, social engineering and online well-being, getting practical knowledge on building cyber resilience.

Kaspersky’s Kids Cyber Resilience Project is part of the company’s bigger educational venture – Kaspersky Academy. What began as a program to support young IT specialists in 2010 has grown into a global ecosystem of training sessions, workshops, and partnerships with universities and industry experts. Today, Kaspersky Academy helps students, professionals, and educators build cyber skills through hands-on courses led by the company’s real-world professionals, turning complex security concepts into accessible, practical knowledge.
