Simple

I have been using Kaspersky for many years now, and had no problems at all with security. Renewal is quick, easy, and at a fair price. I had tried another provider, but changed after one year, and been a satisfied customer since.

KIS: the best protection in its class

Kaspersky Internet Security is the best product in its class (by far!), particularly its firewall and the network attack blocker, and its daily updates (including weekends) keep it ahead of the competition. Also, it is more comprehensive than any other product in this class. However, it is not without flaws. I have been using KIS for over a decade, and I witnessed how it evolved over the years. Please find the specific comments below on how this great product could be improved further IMHO. Database update often does not show the remaining time proportionally, and when 1 min is remaining (or the progress bar is at 99%), it is sitting there for 10-15 minutes while it got to 99% in 2-3 minutes. Sometimes the progress bar shows 21% in the window but if I hover over the icon on the Taskbar at the same time, it is at 0%, i.e., they are inconsistent + it may take 3 minutes to download 60KBs (?!) from the Kaspersky Lab update servers. Absolute precedence should be given to user input, e.g., stopping an update or an automatically started rootkit scan is sometimes not be possible for one of the following reasons: 1) the program ignores that the user clicked on the Stop button, 2) the Stop button is grayed out. Full scan still takes forever (ongoing issue for years), although the quick scan is fine. Children locked out via Parental Control can log back in after restarting Windows, and by doing so repeatedly, they can play all day long regardless of the Parental Control restrictions. Domains locked in Parental Control do not prevent opening the corresponding websites via HTTPS (only HTTP). It took a while until the Kaspersky Protection addon starting working with the latest versions of Firefox (started from FF57). Safe Money occasionally turns to yellow, seemingly without reason (maybe triggered by updates in the background; usually resolved after system restart). Automated rootkit scan slows down low-end computers (it is fine on high-end computers with SSD) - the "Postpone computer scan tasks when the CPU and disk systems are at high load" setting should be default (which is currently not checked by default). Webcam Access was once stopped working in Skype without reason, and I had to disable it and re-enable it to get it back working. Anti-Banner completely stops the functionality of some sites that seemingly do not have any banners on them (e.g., when creating a post on GumTree). When used with Kaspersky Secure Connection, if connected to My Kaspersky, user data is known to Kaspersky, which is not the case with many VPN providers, who allow anonymous payments. When Kaspersky Secure Connection is installed, and sometime later Windows is reinstalled, Secure Connection cannot be re-associated from My Kaspersky (which should be done automatically); the only way to get it working again is to reinstall Secure Connection. Secure Connection sometimes connects automatically even if it is configured not to do so (even to a server I never selected, i.e., went back to Automatic selection when unticking "Enable secure connection and application startup" - preferred server should be remembered regardless). There is no option to downgrade multi-licensing, e.g., from 5 to 3 computers. Recently I wanted to do this, and I had to buy a new license for 3 computers, rather than getting a discount via product renewal (I had a 5-device license for a couple of years).

Kaspersky internet security

With the odd exception I have used and recommended this guys softwear .He's one of a few out there that submits his work for scrutiny and still makes it on the top. He's complete protection is great package and even for someone like me that might not be very tech knowledgeable to keep his computer protected. I would like to see maybe a video to really explain some or even all the settings but i still would not change. I have at occasions got in touch with his support team and found them to be very helpful and customer orientated . Keep up the good work
